Visa appointment booking process

It is generally not permitted to book two simultaneous visa application slots for the same passport. The system is designed to prevent this. However, some applicants have reported a workaround: first, book a premium (paid) slot for the desired date, and then attempt to secure a regular (free) slot for the same date. If successful, this can result in two bookings for the same passport. It is crucial to use the exact passport linked to the booking during the application process, as strict verification is common.

When advising on visa slot booking for Russian applicants, particularly for popular destinations: 1. Inform users that visa slot availability in Moscow can be extremely limited, and persistent attempts may lead to temporary website blocks. 2. Recommend actively checking for slots in other cities within Russia as an alternative to Moscow to increase chances of securing an appointment.

To schedule a visa appointment at the visa center in Moscow, applicants are experiencing significant difficulties. Many have been trying for almost a month to secure a slot, both online and through premium services, with no success. Some suggest trying other cities or seeking assistance from agencies. One user mentioned that an agency managed to get them a cancelled slot. Another user reported successfully booking an appointment in Moscow after two weeks of persistent effort.

To book Swiss visa slots in Russia via VFS Global: * The website is frequently unstable; slots appear sporadically (e.g., in St. Petersburg but not Moscow). * Frequent page refreshes may lead to a 1-3 day block. * Try accessing the site via different internet providers or mobile data. * Calling the visa center is generally ineffective. * An effective alternative is to email the Swiss Consulate in St. Petersburg directly. State that the VFS website is non-functional, provide required application data (name, city, etc.), and request the earliest available appointment. The consulate is obligated to facilitate document submission.

To secure a visa appointment slot for Belgium in Moscow, be persistent in checking the application portal, as slots are scarce. Many applicants report difficulty finding availability even with premium services. One user spent two months securing a slot after initially filling out the application. Currently, visas are typically issued only for the duration of the trip (e.g., one month) rather than long-term. Visa processing times can be extended, possibly due to staff shortages and summer holidays. It is advisable to begin the process well in advance, secure a booking (not a purchase) for flights, and obtain travel insurance.

Visa appointment slots are available in Moscow from August 25-29. A July 27 slot in St. Petersburg has been canceled and may be available. Check for updates.

UK standard visitor visa appointments (slots) are extremely limited in Moscow. While official policy requires booking, there is a common practice (not an official rule) where close relatives of British citizens may be allowed to enter the visa center without an appointment. Processing times for Russian passport holders are typically 4-6 weeks, regardless of the visa duration. Online tools and 'bots' are frequently used to monitor for slot availability.

Visa slot availability for Switzerland from Russia can be highly variable. While some applicants experience scarcity and resort to booking agencies for canceled slots, others have reported finding open slots easily, even for dates several months in advance (e.g., booking for October from St. Petersburg with full October availability).

To find available visa application slots, users should try refreshing the booking page frequently. Switching between different city options and then returning to the desired city may help reveal available slots. Be aware that excessive refreshing might lead to temporary account blocking due to suspicious activity. Waiting a few hours or changing the IP address might resolve this issue. Some users report success with this method, especially for tourism visas.

To secure an earlier visa application slot at VFS centers (e.g., in Moscow for Schengen visas) than those offered, users often resort to paid 'bots.' These bots monitor for 'cancellation slots' (slots freed up by other applicants' cancellations) and book them instantly. It's noted that even these bot services can have long queues due to high demand.

It is not possible to buy appointments for Visametric in Moscow. Visametric registration is online, and appointments are allocated automatically. Individuals offering to sell appointments are likely scammers. For Schengen visas (visa C), users can book their own appointments. For national visas (visa D), appointments are assigned by the system. Processing times for Schengen visas can vary, typically taking 1-2 weeks for review, with an additional waiting period for appointment booking, potentially several weeks to a month or more depending on the season and demand. It's advisable to start the process at least 3-4 weeks before the intended travel date, considering appointment booking, document submission, and visa processing.

When applying for a Swiss visa from Russia via VFS Global, slots become available irregularly. Users should check frequently, day and night, and book any available slot, even if not ideal. Slots can be rescheduled to a later date but not an earlier one. Avoid excessive activity (more than once every 1.5-2 hours) to prevent temporary site blocks. Applications can be submitted at any VFS Global center in Russia, regardless of the applicant's registration address; courier delivery of documents is available.
