K-ETA Rules and Requirements in South Korea: what actually matters to know

K-ETA is an online pre-travel authorization required for citizens of specific countries entering South Korea for tourism or short-term stays. It can be applied for before booking flights or accommodation and information within it can be updated. The Arrival Card is a form filled out upon arrival (or sometimes online prior to travel) to declare personal information, purpose of visit, and items being brought into the country. However, travelers, particularly seniors, may encounter requests for K-ETA at their departure points before entering South Korea. It is advisable to check specific departure country requirements.

If you have a single, combined ticket, K-ETA might be checked before boarding in your departure country (e.g., Russia).
