Be aware of visa expiration dates and potential overstay penalties. Consider alternative routes or carriers if direct flights are unavailable or canceled.

It is recommended to complete the necessary information, including travel details and hotel bookings, in advance. If a hotel is not yet booked, this can be added later. When entering departure cities not listed, manual input may be required. For flights with layovers, use the flight number departing from the layover city. The generated QR code should be saved for use at the airport. Note that this QR code is separate from the tax-free QR code, which is not necessary.

The day of arrival and the day of departure are counted as part of the total allowed stay. For example, a 15-day visa with arrival on July 28th means the last day of legal stay is August 12th. Departure must occur on or before the visa's expiration date.

All data, including visa stamps, is readable. Assess the likelihood of the passport and visa being accepted for travel to Japan, and advise on whether emergency measures (like reissuing the passport/visa) are necessary.

If planning to leave the airport and explore the city, ensure you fill out the migration card correctly. This process is standard for transit passengers.

A separate 100,000 JPY limit applies to travelers departing for Russia, regardless of nationality. Failure to declare can lead to questioning and legal issues.
