For transport on the island, use Grab or Gojek (which may require a local SIM). Learning to ride a motorbike is often more efficient than relying solely on taxi services for extensive travel.

Standard taxi prices from Bali airport are significantly inflated; utilizing ride-sharing apps like Grab or Gojek is highly recommended to avoid overcharging (typical fair price is around 100k-160k IDR). Official airport taxi counters are another safer alternative to avoid extortion.

From Nusa Dua, Bali, travel to Melasti Beach takes about 30 minutes by bike taxi. Reaching Ubud takes approximately 1.5-2 hours. Use the Grab app for booking bike taxis, as it generally works without a local SIM. Consider staying in Ubud for a few days to explore the area without long commutes.

Ride-sharing and delivery apps such as Gojek, Grab, and Shopee Food are widely used and recommended for transportation and food delivery in Bali. These apps offer convenient services like motorcycle taxis, car rides, and food ordering. Users can typically pay with cash upon arrival or through in-app digital payments. It is advisable to check payment options and availability in your specific location on the island.

When using taxi services like Gojek in Bali to reach the airport, the entrance fee (parking/gate fee) is typically not included in the ride price shown in the app. Drivers may request the passenger to pay this additional amount (approx. 15,000 IDR) upon entering the airport area.

At Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Bali, travelers without internet access can easily order Grab or Gojek at their physical airport booking counters located near the exit. Staff will book the ride at official app rates, provide Wi-Fi to coordinate, and guide the passenger to the pickup zone. Cash payment is fully accepted.
