For mobile service in Belarus, A1 and MTS offer the best coverage, especially outside cities. Life:) is a slightly cheaper option for urban use. For long-term SIM card users needing SMS services (e.g., for banking), life:) has cost-effective plans requiring minimal top-ups every 180 days and an annual full tariff payment. New tariff plans usually require payment for a full month upfront.

Mobile network quality in Belarus varies among operators. Life:) has been noted for potential coverage issues, particularly the lack of 3G and shared 4G infrastructure. A1 is generally considered to offer more stable service and emerging 5G technology, though it may come at a higher cost. Coverage can also depend on location, with rural areas potentially experiencing weaker signals across all networks.

For reliable mobile service in Belarus, consider using local operators A1 or Life. These providers do not impose restrictions on non-residents and their SIM cards remain active with timely top-ups. Using a local SIM card for over six years has proven to be trouble-free for some users.
