However, at Argentine immigration, the airline of the onward ticket is typically irrelevant.

While Argentinian border control often focuses more on proof of accommodation (at least for the first night) and may not always check the outbound ticket, airlines (especially Turkish Airlines) are known to be strict and may deny boarding without one. Other airlines like Ethiopian or Emirates might be more lenient, accepting tickets to neighboring countries (e.g., ferry to Uruguay, flight to Chile costing 7,000-10,000 RUB) as proof of intent to leave. It's advisable to have some form of outbound travel planned to mitigate risks, as experiences with checks vary widely by airline and individual officer. Some airlines may even check for outbound tickets during registration in Moscow.

While a single booking covering the entire return journey to the country of origin is ideal and often expected, travelers with multi-leg journeys on separate bookings (e.g., a round-trip to an intermediate hub and then a separate booking to the home country) should be prepared to clearly demonstrate their full itinerary and intent to return to their country of citizenship.

If flying with Turkish Airlines, it is often recommended to have a return ticket with the same airline. For other airlines, a ticket to a third country might be acceptable. A currently popular route to Buenos Aires is via Morocco and São Paulo. However, enforcement can vary; some travelers with return tickets and hotel bookings reported not being asked for them upon entry.

It is recommended to book an hotel/Airbnb and present the reservation proof. Temporary flight reservations (often valid for 48 hours) can sometimes be obtained from airline counters at the airport as proof of onward travel.
